Want to use physical activity to improve your mental health? Exercise and mastery promote mental health.

This is for those who want to engage in physical activity, trying out various activities in a safe group setting alongside other students. You do not need any prior experience with training.

Why Physical Activity?

While most people know that physical activity is good for our physical health, did you know that regular physical activity also has a positive effect on our mental health? The effects include increased concentration, better memory, more energy, and improved mood. It also contributes to better sleep and equips us better to handle the demands and challenges of daily life. Additionally, research shows that physical activity can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Activities:

We will explore various forms of activity in a safe group setting. The goal is for you to challenge yourself and experience the joy of being active. We strive to create a good dynamic within the group, emphasizing a safe and friendly social environment. Activities will include:

  1. Play in the sports hall

  2. Walk on Løvstien

  3. Spinning

  4. Strength training

  5. Yoga

  6. Climbing

  7. Pool activities

Practical Information:

The course consists of 8 sessions, each lasting 1 hour.

Location: The location will vary based on the activity; the first day will be at Studentsenteret. You will receive an SMS with information before each session.

If you are already receiving treatment with us, you can be referred by your psychologist/counselor. This offering is for students who have paid semester fees; it is free, and you do not need to be a member of Sammen Trening to participate.
