Housing guarantee
The following students are guaranteed student housing, within our capacity and provided that you apply within the deadline:
- Exchange students granted a guarantee from HVL (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences).
The guarantee is valid for international students coming to Sogndal for the first time, and only for one stay.
It is important that you follow these instructions:
Apply within the given deadline
You will receive information from your place of study about what to do when applying for housing. Follow these intructions when you register and apply for a room.
Note! If you do not follow the instructions from your place of study, you will not be guaranteed a room. It is important that you apply in the correct queue for exchange students.
You may choose among the different housing alternatives available in the selected queue and select three preferred options. We will try to to meet your request, but will allocate according to availability if preferred options are not available.
Autumn semester
Application deadline: 15th of May
Spring semester
Application period: 1st of October - 1st of November
Application deadline: 1st of November
Accept the offer for a room within the deadline
If you do not accept the offer within the deadline given in the agreement, the offer will be cancelled. You can easily sign the lease by using sms code. It is therfore important that you register a valid phonenumber when applying for housing.
Please note that if you do not apply for accomodation or sign the tenancy agreement within the given deadlines, you no longer have a housing guarantee.
Other international students who are not in any of the categories listed above are not guaranteed a room accommodation. The deadline for applications for the autumn semester is the 15th of May.
