Are you an international student looking for a job in Norway? Many international students hold part-time jobs when studying in Norway. It is a good way to practice your Norwegian and increase your budget. Every semester the Career counsellors at Sammen meet many international students that seek advice about the Norwegian labour market, and how to find and apply for part-time jobs. We now want to offer a course to all international students in Vestland. At the course you will meet career counsellors at Sammen Karriere (Sammen Career) and we will provide you with tips and necessary information to start looking for a part-time job.

The course is suitable for:

  • International students looking for a part time job in Norway. The course can also be relevant to international students that are looking for work in Norway after graduation.

You will learn about:

  • Sammen Career (Sammen Karriere), and what we can do for you?
  • Work permit for students
  • How to find vacant positions
  • The cover letter - how to write the application
  • CV – Curriculum Vitae (resume)
  • Job interview
  • Questions (ask the Career Counsellor)

 Information about the course:

  • Place: Digital meeting on Zoom or Teams. The link to the webinar will be sent to you the day before the course
  • Time: 15.00-16.30, 31th of January 2023
  • Participants: 150 students.
  • Organisation: This will be a digital presentation, with the possibility to ask questions during the course and after the presentation.

Sigrid Isdal works as a career counsellor at Sammen Career. She has a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in societal safety. Besides this, she also has subjects/education in employment law and career counselling. Sigrid has many years of work experience from different municipal and state workplaces.
